• Unintentional Period Piece: The ride Simpler Times Mountain is based on Splash Mountain and takes shots at the racism associated with its source material Song of the South. In 2020, Disney announced that Splash Mountain would be replaced with an attraction based on The Princess and the Frog, and the attraction finally closed for good in both American parks in 2023.
