• Awesome Art: The art-style and the animation that was used is beautiful.
• Ensemble Dark Horse:
  • Kaa quickly gained a lot of popularity due to his Creepy Good personality and also being quite accurate to his source novel character.
  • This version of Bagheera also has her share of fans, due to her sly and cheeky personality and slick design. Dana Delany giving her a smooth, sexy voice that's pleasant to listen to doesn't hurt either.
• Nightmare Fuel:
  • Kaa using his hypnosis to subdue the Bander-log and proceeding to eat them all. Fortunately it fades out before he actually eats them.
  • Shere Khan is more terrifying in general due to how realistic he looks. Whenever he is snarling at the camera, for a moment you can think it is a real tiger snarling at you.
• Retroactive Recognition: Is that Spike as young Mowgli?
• They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: What some people felt about the English dub, due to how it replaced the original soundtrack with some new songs and cut some of the violence.
