Western Animation / Jerry Go Round

Go To

Jerry-Go-Round is a 1966 Tom and Jerry cartoon directed by Abe Levitow and produced by Chuck Jones.

Tom chases Jerry into a circus, where the mouse befriends an elephant after pulling a sharp tack out of her foot.

Tropes:

  • Circus Episode: The majority of this short takes place at a circus.
  • Eek, a Mouse!!: This is the elephant's initial reaction when she first sees Jerry.
  • Elephants Are Scared of Mice: Played straight at first when the elephant first sees Jerry pulling the tack out of her foot, but once she sees him holding the tack and realizes that he pulled it out, this trope gets subverted.
  • Grievous Harm with a Body: When the elephant first sees Jerry, she immediately panics and tries to hit him with Tom (who happened to be trying to catch him at the time).
  • "Oh, Crap!" Smile: After Tom grabs Jerry out of the elephant's trunk, the elephant takes him back and places him on her head. Tom then gives the elephant one of these before she uses her trunk to smash him into the ground.
