It follows the character of Rip Vykirson, a young Raptorian who lives on the planet of Vagary as he trains to become an elite Martial Ranger.
Heavily inspired by old video games, shonen manga like Hunter × Hunter, and heavy metal albums.
This comic provides Examples of the following:
- Animal Motifs: Rip has a dragon motif of sorts with his Dragon Spark ability.
- Variant Power Copying: Rip's "Spark" ability allows him to copy the powers of dragons he meets to create new powers and uses for said abilities.
- Picky Eater: Rip hates most any food that isn't meet. Justified given his heritage as a carnivorous dinosaur.
- Expy: Rip is one of Gon from Hunter × Hunter and a far less stupid Asta from Black Clover.
- Lizard Folk: Rip and his birth parents are small, anthropomorphic velocioraptors. Fuzzy and adorable ones, no less!
- Nice Guy: Rip's a real good kid.
- The Berserker: What happens if Rip uses his Dragon Spark power too much.
- Hate Sink: The first villain Rip encounters, Erick, was explicitly designed to be such. Even the author hates him!
- Mythical Motifs: There's a slight Norse Mythology theme running throughout the comic. Fitting, considering it's rock music influences.
- Genius Bruiser: Rip's a pretty good tactician and combatant when he needs to be.
