World of Io is a homebrew Dungeons & Dragons setting made by Brett Ultimus. The setting began as an offline game ran between Brett and his friends, but Brett began to stream the games on Twitch on July 16th, 2020. Since then, Io has been host to many campaigns that intersect and affect each other, as well as a variety of players. Io is touted as being a sandbox with a big focus on player agency.
World of Io takes place on the titular planet, the Io that revolves around Jupiter in Real Life. Io is host to many peoples, and has been fought over by a host of factions, alien species, and deities.
Io is split into three Phases, although Phase 1 was entirely offline. Phase 2 ran from July 16th, 2020 to December 22, 2021. Phase 3 began on July 16th, 2022.

Phase 2
- Arcane Academy
: Student wizards attend school where all may not be as it seems. Consists of a party that is all wizards. 2 Seasons, followed by Astral Academy. - Miss Demeanor: Pirates venture forth, following tales of a curse. 3 Seasons.
- All King: Hired adventurers set off in search of a historical artifact. Followed by Under Io, Radiance, and Mainframe of Atlas.
- Goblins of Io: Pure chaos with an all goblin party.
- Tower of Archimedes: A cruise ship meets an unfortunate end as the survivors are left stranded on a deserted island.
- Eye of Asmodia: A rebellion strikes against pollution in the "Coal Capital" of Io. Followed by Shadow of Asmodia.
- Hunters of Io: Hunters accept bounties to face down fearsome creatures. Heavily inspired by Monster Hunter. Followed by Spire of Euclid.
- The Nova Hellscape: In search of food, a clan of misfits do what they can to survive.
- The Altered Ballad: A group of lunatics find themselves locked in a dungeon. Hilarity ensues.
- Bronn: A religious group, led by a powerful hero, seek out to fight a dragon. Consists of an all cleric and paladin party.
Phase 3
- Deadbeats: A motley crew of protectors and convicts struggle to work undercover together to find a reemerging murderer, opening a cold case, with their livelihoods and lives at stake. 3 Seasons.
- Pipe Dreamers: On the run for being framed for a crime, a gang of misfits turn to the only option they have left... crime. 3 Seasons.
- Curious Curios: A maiden voyage gone awry, an unwilling group of individuals find themselves faced with a keep most intriguing and bizarre. 3 Seasons.
- March on Faewunder: The Skagzag Extravaganza has begun as festival-goers explore the various activities, challenges, and games it has to offer! But, something more magical is in the air this evening...
- Into the Shadow's Breach: Apprentice Shadow Hunters venture into the harsh and Shadowtorn Asmodian landscape to earn their full rank, set out to dispatch a Gatekeeper at the Shadow's Breach. 2 Seasons.

World of Io provides examples of:
- Rascally Raccoon: Racclings, a homebrew race of playable raccoons, are a character option on Io. The rules for racclings are provided for free on Brett's Patreon.
- Wide-Open Sandbox: Brett makes it very clear that the players are who decide where the story goes and what the goals are, with much freedom within his world.
