It would explain why Great-Great Grandpa Riddle looks exactly like Brad.The Secret Museum only simulates time travel by using holographic projections.
It would explain why the historical figures that they visit always appear to be children even though the crew frequently visits them after the historical figures have grown up.It would also explain how the crew has ready access to historical figures who likely wouldn't be available to interact with just anybody. Examples include Cleopatra, Theodore Roosevelt, and even Sally Ride in the Space Shuttle.
- It also explains Xavier's "translation antenna," which we've never seen working outside the Secret Museum; using them just signals the Museum to switch the language options. Aside from being more responsible to the timeline, the simulation option allows the Secret Museum/Berby to skip or censor anything that the kids might not yet be ready to handle, which is why they've only witnessed tamer examples of, say, racism or sexism.
- Brad's queasiness during the "time-travel" sequences isn't from temporal motion sickness: it's because the rapid montage of holograms which accompanies each such "journey" causes disorienting reflections in his eyeglasses. The Riddles are unaffected because they don't wear spectacles.
The Riddles will have a third child, a baby boy they will name Zachary.
