Xavier is literally a Renegade Angel, or some equivalent.
- More specifically, not the cute type with the wings and halo, but an Ophanim or other equally Eldritch Abomination type
, namely with all the weird extra wings and eyes. The way Xavier looks in the show is a result of his body adjusting to live on Earth, and is his failed attempt to create A Form You Are Comfortable With. He was likely kicked out of Heaven for his absolute incompetence and madness, and was reborn as an infant on Earth and raised by his family until his Master Shaman enlightened him to his true nature and sent him on his journey. This would explain why Xavier can bend the rules of physics and why everyone acts more deranged around him; as a higher lifeform, his presence drives everyone mad, and being an angel grants him the ability to twist reality when he needs to.
