Season 5 would introduce more superpowered people
- One of the final scenes of the series is a drum of GC-161 leaking out into the storm drains after getting blasted away from the chemical plant. Had the show kept going, this likely would have led to a Mass Super-Empowering Event in Paradise Valley where more people would develop powers like Alex did. Given the chemical's propensity to have different effects on Alex when she's exposed to other substances, there's also a possibility for new powers to develop in others.
Vince Carter was murdered by Danielle Atron off screen
- In his last episode, Danielle hires Vince to specifically capture Alex Mack. He fails to do so and is last seen sneaking out the Mack family's house before he is discovered by the Macks. He is never seen on screen again or is even referred to. Danielle, frustrated by yet another of Vince's failures and realizing she can't be connected to an attempted kidnapping of a teenage girl, puts out a "hit" on Vince. We already know Danielle Atron isn't above contract murder.
