Terminator: Dark Fate spoilers ahoy!

Given the suspiciously similar details both Howard and Carl from Terminator: Dark Fate have, it's almost easy to link the two together. After killing John Connor and developing a conscience, he had taken to a Denser and Wackier persona in an attempt to cope with it, which slowly faded out over the 20 year span. In Dark Fate he states that he had 'saved' his family from an abusive boyfriend - no doubt, he was probably talking about the condescending Jerkass Ted. The only real things that clash with the theory is that Howard is a mattress salesman, while Carl is a draper - not to mention the name changes. They may have been on the run for a while, given that Sarah Connor is going around hunting more Terminators sent back in time thanks to his encrypted messages - and if she were to find out that he sends said messages, he'd be at serious risk. Hence, Carl's off the grid. Of course they would change their names legally, since eventually he hears about the Rev-9 going to his coordinates and thus, he has to send his family off to safety to combat the new threat.

Oh, and this may be a bit on the nose here, but...Turbo Man? Terminator? Same initial!

Yes. I really took something as silly as this film and dumped Cerebus Syndrome all over the damn thing.

The next toy company that will acquire the right to make Turboman action figures after Funko, will be...

It has got to be any one of them.

• In addition any toy company to acquire the rights to make Turboman figures will make Dementor, Booster, and Demon Minion figures as well.

If the writers will make a Turboman spin-off film in the future, The actor to play the main hero Turboman will be Chris Evans.

He would make a perfect candidate for Turboman.

The events of this movie caused in-universe changes to the Turboman franchise.

When Howard is in the Turboman costume, he refers to Dementor as "Myron". Of course this is because he's talking to the guy wearing the Dementor costume, but everybody at the parade assumes that the entire thing is just a performance. Dementor's true name had never been revealed previously, and fans interpreted the parade show as a big reveal. Producers of the in-universe Turboman TV show decided to run with it and established Dementor's backstory in later episodes. In fact they made the entire parade cannon. It was explained that "Jamie" was a boy genius who had been inventing gear for Turboman. He went on to create a small Turboman robot that looks exactly like the toy. (On sale now!) Dementor stole it from him, so Turboman stole it back and went to the parade to return the robot to Jamie. Then Dementor showed up to steal the robot a second time, and that's when everything from the parade happened.

• This also explains why Jaime has to tell Turboman how his own gear works during the fight. Turboman is wearing recenty-upgraded gear which Jamie invented for him, and Jaime has to tell him where the controls are.
  • The character of Jamie was played by the actual Jamie, on account of his "amazing performance" during the parade. He went on to play the role of Anakin Skywalker in The Phantom Menace.

Ted's fate.

• Moving out to a newer and better neighborhood, it's possible that Liz told someone else about what Ted tried to do to her and the word spread, resulting in the neighbors turning against Ted for trying to seduce a married woman.
• In the end of the events take took place, Ted in/on the Langston's doorstep with a gift basket; he and Howard having a simple conversation, confessing to each other's thoughts and feelings about themselves and what already happened recently, apologizing each other, learning from their mistakes, giving them a hug goodbye.
• Considering that he may and might go somewhere where he won't be seen or heard from again (or who knows), giving and granting full custody of his son Johnny to the Langstons.
