The Title Screen for the Compilation Re-release
In late 2009, the founder of Zeboyd Games, Robert Boyd, took part in the XNA initiative that helped indie developers release their games on the Xbox 360. The results were two "text-based visual novels", given the official designation of Interactive Fiction: Epiphany in Spaaace!, & Molly the Were-Zompire. Both works each sold between 500-700 copies in their original heyday. However, due to the 360 Digital Store's planned closure in 2024, the Zeboyd team created a Compilation Re-release released for PC on December 29, 2023 under the unhyphenated title Molly the Werezompire, not only combining the stories but remastering them with improved editing and added music and background images; due to availability, it is this version that this page focuses on.

Tropes applying to both stories:

  • Multiple Endings: Both stories have many potential endings depending on your decisions.

Tropes applying to Epiphany in Spaaace!:

  • Space Opera: The story is set in the distant future, and chronicles the adventures of potential Universal Galactic Space Corps spaceship captain Philemon K. Bort.

Tropes applying to Molly the Were-Zompire:

  • Foregone Conclusion: Lampshaded near the beginning, with Molly endangered and the narration stating that this would be the end of her story except that the game is titled Molly the Were-Zompire and not Molly the Human who died at the Beginning of our Story.
  • Ninja Pirate Zombie Robot: Molly Desper begins as a human, but shortly after is converted into a monster that's part-Werewolf, part-Zombie, and part-Vampire.
  • Protagonist Title: The game's story is about Molly, who is turned into a Were-Zompire near the start of the main narrative.
