Meta Revelations - Ring Spirits is an RPG Maker XP game that focuses on a boy named Riley who happens upon a falling comet one night which ends up causing a ton of problems for our poor to-be-hero. There's also a talking cat familiar. The game was released on Steam in May 2019.

The game is said to be inspired by the likes of Breath of Fire and Legend of Dragoon.

Meta Revelations - Ring Spirits provides examples of:

  • Ascended Demon: Galadius when he finally has his way with Graham and decided to forcefully take control of his body.
  • Abusive Parents: Tay is subject to this as her father kept her locked in a second floor chamber for years. What makes it worse is that she is emotionally manipulated to this point as he wasn't always this nasty.
  • Big Brother Instinct: Allan is Tay's older brother and he gets a little more than upset if even a hair on her head gets touched.
  • Big Damn Heroes: There's an element of this not long after Riley frees Tay, Allan and Zephyr from a gauntlet prison in the C.M.D tower. The scientists were a little less than prepared to deal with anyone who would break out of the allegedly impervious barrier.
  • Evil Tainted the Place: Any place denoted by Kiseral, such as the Fall. Another place with lots of Kiseral seen in the game is in the Under City - a mix of experiments and the C.M.D trying to murder the resistance down there lead to a pretty nasty state of the place.
  • Jerkass: Gajaki Bates, through and through. A ruthless military official that will murder anyone who gets in his way with Katuseru.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Allan Karas, Tay's older brother. He's so incredibly rude to Riley. Sometimes Tay falls into his mindset too.
  • Go Through Me: Tay tries doing this in Reshi Ash but it doesn't work out very well. Or maybe it did, considering how things worked out.
  • Gravity Is a Harsh Mistress: To a comedic effect with Allan when the party search for a missing Riley.
  • Mad Scientist: The lead scientist in the C.M.D is Coltrane, though he is a little more level headed than the rest and knows when a plan of someones is about to go wrong.
  • Missing Mom: Cynthia and everything she put up with in Staza Plateau would explain why she went missing.
  • Non-Human Sidekick: Zephyr is a Hex Conjurer - who was apparently summoned and not born into the world by a witch.
  • Out of the Inferno: Phinaxio is quite literally this when she saves Tay in Reshi Ash.
  • Parental Abandonment: Riley seems to not know the whereabouts of his parents and for the most part, was raised by the villagers on the mountain after Zephyr took him there.
  • Save the Jerk: Shaena puts the party through a heck of a lot for the first half of the game, but given everything - it becomes optional to save her when she becomes afflicted. If the player doesn't save her, it's assumed she'd become a literal zombie after the plot of the game concludes.
  • The Dark Side: Several characters fit this. Allan the most, given his spirit decided to selflessly heal a bunch of victims facing The Corruption and partially subjected themself to it for the most part - causing Ellexial to exist. Allan acting like a Jerkass doesn't help matters. Speaking of which, it is implied the spirits have an evil side - which Tay very nearly succumbed to while Allan was imprisoned by Gajaki which would have had been just awful to deal with. Riley is a little bit of this when the late game presents itself. Galadius wasn't always a monster either and is embracing The Dark Side from the beginning of the narrative, but in the long distant past he was considered quite noble but stubborn.
  • The Dragon: Graham is this to Galadius for the most part. It could be considered Gajaki fills this role too - as he is an exceptionally nasty force to deal with for the party.
  • Villainous Rescue: When Katuseru is damaged by Allan gone rogue, the murderous robot somehow comes to its senses and saves him from a deadly superweapon.
