- The Danza: All of the members of the eponymous group share the first name with their seiyuu.
- Defictionalization: The shirts worn by the girls during their appearance on the talk show in the Seishun no Kage film were later made as part of the promotion for the movie.
- Production Posse: Wake Up, Girls! didn't involve a posse in its production, but it has become the posse itself in unrelated productions. So you have an anime with a a member of WUG voicing one of the leads and MONACA as composers? Expect the rest of WUG to come along to perform a song for it. See the anime adaptations of Scorching Ping Pong Girls (starring Minami) and Renai Boukun (starring Yoshino) for examples. Run Girls, Run! has also featured in Kiratto Pri☆Chan.
- Troubled Production: It's fairly obvious that the show's already on a shoestring budget, but it becomes particularly alarming when in the wake of the second episode that its director, Yamakan, was forced to put out a request via Twitter that the production was in dire need of animators.
