Trivia / Typical Colors 2

Go To

  • Creator's Favorite: As the Brute is currently his Roblox avatar, he appears to be Charles Lobaugh's favorite role as an actor.
  • Descended Creator: The Flanker and Mechanic are not voiced by professionals or contractors, instead currently being played by ROLVe developer Ivan Curkendall (aka Bluay) and lead Chris (aka mightybaseplate) respectively.
  • Dummied Out: Every map removed from the game (usually due to being unfinished or suffering from bad level design) is instead placed into a separate playlist of maps inaccessible to public servers. If the developer team feels like it, they can briefly enable a mode that forces them back into rotation.
  • The Other Darrin: The Flanker and Mechanic have always been voiced by Ivan and Chris respectively. The others, however, have gone through at least one other voice actor before settling with the current lineup. Excluding placeholders ripped from Team Fortress 2 and related fan projects:
    • Ivan's uncle was used for all seven classes as a placeholder, before Chris and an unknown actor took over for some of them. Chris's lines were eventually reworked into the Mechanic's permanent voice.
    • The Doctor was originally voiced by Roblox user barrelofmonkeys. He was briefly replaced with the Russian Dimitry Rozental as a placeholder, and then swapped out for Eli Thorne when his lines were finished.
    • The Trooper was originally voiced by user FWEEEEEEE until being replaced by Jon Armond.
    • The Agent was originally voiced by user DustyOldRoses, but was later replaced by Bethy.
  • Parody Assistance: Charles Lobaugh has voiced lines for the Brute that involve him using actual curse words. Obviously, this makes them useless outside of comedic fan works, making them this trope by default.
  • Playing Against Type:
    • The Trooper is voiced by Jon Armond, a celebrity voice actor better known for working in narration and voiceovers (and is not known for branching out, unlike Roger Adams, who voices the Annihilator.)
    • Eli Thorne is in a similar position with his role as the Doctor, as most of his accolades have been in advertising.
    • The heroic, Deep Southern Marksman is voiced by Jay Smack, who tends to play villains and cartoon characters in fictional works.
  • Serendipity Writes the Plot: The Adaptational Nationality of the nine classes is most likely based on the voice actors ROLVe was able to get for each of them, so as to avoid any potential criticisms from using a Fake Nationality. For example, both Eli Thorne and the Doctor have British nationality, and both Roger Adams and the Annihilator are Irish.
  • What Could Have Been: An Agent counterpart to Ninja Spy was planned for Vs. Bosses, but never appeared in the game with all references to her upcoming inclusion deleted.
  • Word of God: The Agent is only 20-25 years old, which the developers note automatically disproves Spy and Scout's familial relationship from the original game carrying over to this one.
