• Ascended Fanon: Kobold often inserts details about the OC's clothes, based on how people draw them, into the next chapter.
• Creator's Favorite:
  • Ezekiel, Bridgette and Izzy. It won't take a reader much time to figure out how much TKN loves them, given the huge screentime, focus and development each one of them get. He's also a big fan of Harold, hence why he gets a large amount of focus and Ship Tease with Bridgette.
  • Bridgette/Harold, Bridgette/Ezekiel, and Izzy/Ezekiel are his preferred pairings for the characters involved, hence the immense amount of Ship Tease for them.
• Running the Asylum: TV Tropes in a way is doing this: after a trope appears on the page, it is acknowledged in the next chapter, either by playing it straight, lampshading, or subverting it in some way that will stick it to that particular trope. Examples include the Fridge Horror, Romantic Plot Tumor, Schemer (to a lesser extent), Shout-Out, and Spotlight-Stealing Squad examples on the very page.
• What Could Have Been: The story changed a lot while it was being written. For example:
  • Bridgette was supposed to break up with Geoff, and become Ezekiel's love interest.
  • Katie's crush was originally going to be Cody, however, when the vast majority of reviewers and fans guessed Noah and said how much they loved that, the author changed his mind.
  • Ezekiel was going to be eliminated halfway through the fic and have a heartwarming goodbye, but Kobold decided to keep him in the game after viewers started to react positively to the Ezekiel/Heather tease.
