• Dummied Out:
  • The game has an unused Copper Key that's only useable in the game's debug mode. It works the same way as the Headkey in the final product, though.
  • Some early artwork is hidden on the CD's "EXTRAS" folder.
• Meme Acknowledgement: Joe Sparks briefly discussed the memetic status of "You Are Dead" in this interview, and even sings a little bit of it.
• What Could Have Been: According to the game's creator, Joe Sparks:
  • The Metal Lord was to be the game's Final Boss, but the game had to be shipped before he could implement it.
  • Mr. Red was intended to have been part of an interdimensional government conspiracy, and allied with Lawful Neutral aliens, according to some unused artwork Joe showed off in one of his streams. None of this is mentioned in-game.
• Write What You Know: A majority of your live-action footage is taken from San Francisco, and one of the books in your tower is a brief documentary on the Haight-Ashbury district, where Joe Sparks lives.
