• Actor Allusion: Forrest J. Ackerman's technician character has only two lines, one of which is "Don't worry, I'm keeping our spacemen happy." This was a reference to Spacemen magazine, which Ackerman edited at the time.
• Colbert Bump: This film didn't get a trope page until it was featured on the eleventh season of Mystery Science Theater 3000.
• Recycled Script: "The Premonition", an episode of The Outer Limits (1963) originated by Ib Melchior (who wrote and directed this film), basically takes the Move in the Frozen Time concept introduced at the climax and builds an entire story around it.
