Trivia / The Nistverse

Go To

  • Acting for Two:
    • And HOW!!! In addition to everything else she does for the series, MuseScript voices Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, Rarity, Spike (up until The Demon's Daughter), Princess Celestia, Princess Luna (The Heart's Shell episode 5 only), Madam Cleos, Apple Bloom, Granny Smith, Firefly, Tenebris, Elderly Blue Streak, Derpy Hooves, Nistee, herself, Spitfire (starting in Episode 4 of The Color Goddess), Maud Pie, Young Sophiros, Baby Arcus, Young Brucus, Satura (starting in "A Sister Backstory"), Lapali, and Griseo. She has also understudied at certain points for Liaco, Hureca, and Lumina.
    • Neighrator Pony voices both Shining Armor and King Sophiros.
    • BrianRandomVA voiced both Discord and Brucus through Episode 4 of The Demon's Daughter.
    • Agent0Fluffy voices both Queen Deara and, starting in The Demon's Daughter, Liaco. She is also the singing voice for Queen Chrysalis.
    • Pretty-Pegasus-Wings voices both Princess Cadence and Queen Chrysalis (speaking voice).
  • Actor Allusion:
    • When Blue Streak first meets Lumina, she fangirls over her, mistaking her for her voice actor Ice Gaze. Additionly, when the goddesses are free to interact with the ponies at the end of The Color Goddess, Lumina is seen interacting with Ice Gaze's OC.
    • Though they don't voice the characters in the scene, one part features Canem versions of MuseScript and Round Trip's OCs holding hands. Round's Canem is noticeably taller than Muse's, referencing their real life height difference.
  • Cross-Dressing Voices:
    • MuseScript as the young versions of Spike, Sophiros, Brucus, and Arcus.
    • LightningSpiritVA (who is a male-to-female transgender woman) as Tirek.
  • Ink-Suit Actor:
    • MuseScript and FlutterRoze both get to voice their OCs in one scene in The Heart's Shell. Muse later voices a chorus of SIX copies of her OC singing backup for the song "Genie of the Locket." in The Color Goddess.
    • During Deara's backstory in The Color Goddess, the Canem nurses are all Canem versions of the OCs of their voice actors: Lilac Lavender (MuseScript's mother), Marzipan Studios, and ObabScribbler.
  • Non-Singing Voice: Pretty-Pegasus-Wings does the speaking voice for Queen Chrysalis in The Demon's Daughter while Agent0Fluffy does her singing voice.
  • Old Shame: PeaInAPod, the voice actress for Blue Streak, used to ship her character with Rainbow Dash (mind you, Blue Streak is Rainbow Dash's grandmother, even if Rainbow meets the former in her younger form in the Demon Caves). It got to the point where some of the lines she would improvise in early episodes of The Color Goddess would allude to the "Bluedash" ship. Needless to say, she is quite embarrassed by this behavior in hindsight, as she was just 14 at the time she started shipping them and had no real idea what she was doing.
  • The Other Darrin:
    • MuseScript voiced Princess Luna in Episode 5 of The Heart's Shell, but for the rest of the series and the following audio dramas, she was voiced by FlutterRoze.
    • DolphinWaveX voiced Sweetie Belle in The Heart's Shell and the first episode of The Color Goddess. For the rest of the latter series, she was voice by DarkNightPrincess
    • Pupcake 1001 voiced Scootaloo in The Heart's Shell and the first episode of The Color Goddess. Quirky Craft voiced her for the rest of the latter series.
    • Darling Moon VA voiced Satura for episodes 2-8 of The Color Goddess. Starting with the prequel shorts, MuseScript took over her voice (she had also understudied for her during the song "Our Journey Must Begin" in Episode 6).
    • Hureca was voiced by HeartsyArtsy for episodes 2-8 of The Color Goddess, but starting with the prequel shorts, Sugar Cloud did her voice. MuseScript also understudied for her in the 2022 April Fools video.
    • Lumina was voiced mostly by Ice Gaze throughout the entire series, but MuseScript understudied for her in the song "Our Journey Must Begin" in Episode 6 of The Color Goddess and for the 2022 April Fools video.
    • Similarly, Liaco was primarily voiced by Kenzie Mayne, but MuseScript understudied for her in Episode 4 of The Color Goddess, which included the song "My Real Dad." Muse found this especially disappointing since she had written the song for Kenzie to sing. Kenzie would eventually get to sing as Liaco in "Our Journey Must Begin," however. Then, when Kenzie abruptly left the role, Agent0Fluffy became the new voice of Liaco in The Demon's Daughter.
    • Spitfire was voiced by Lana Bruce in Episode 1 of The Color Goddess, but was voiced in every appearance after by MuseScript, first as an understudy, then as her full time voice.
    • Arcus, one of the two Canem guard brothers, was voiced initially by ArcaniaShade, but SourPatchKing took over his voice in Episode 8 of The Color Goddess.
    • Discord and Brucus were both initially voiced by BrianRandomVA. Starting in Episode 5 of The Demon's Daughter, Discord was voiced by BlueCoatVA and Brucus was voiced by Matthew Lee.
  • Real-Life Relative: MuseScript's mother (OC name: Lilac Lavender) voices a Canem nurse in a flashback in The Color Goddess.
  • Throw It In!: PeaInAPod frequently ad-libs her lines as Blue Streak.
  • Time-Shifted Actor:
    • Blue Streak is voiced by PeaInAPod in her younger form, and MuseScript in her elderly form. Oddly, Pea gives the character her natural Australian accent while Muse gives her an American accent despite being Australian herself.
    • Spike is voiced at age 12 by MuseScript in The Heart's Shell and The Color Goddess, and at age 17 by Little Owl in The Demon's Daughter.
    • King Sophiros is voiced as a child by MuseScript and as an adult by Neighrator Pony.
    • The two Canem guard brothers, Brucus and Arcus, are voiced by MuseScript in their youngest forms, but by BrianRandomVA and later Matthew Lee (Brucus) and ArcaniaShade and later SourPatchKing (Arcus) as they get older.
  • Word of Gay. According to some art Muse has done of the two holding pride flags, Rainbow Dash is a lesbian in her audio dramas while Nistee is bisexual. This isn't super obvious early on, but The Demon's Daughter seems to be intent on shipping them like crazy.
