- The Danza: Oscar the cargo pilot is played by Oscar Nuñez.
- Dueling Works: With Uncharted (2022) and completely unintentionally so due to entire slew of Release Date Changes on behalf of Uncharted. Both are intended as whimsical, humorous and over-the-top adventure movies in exotic backdrops. By the box office, Uncharted is a clear victor, however, The Lost City got significantly better reviews and while not as successful commercially, still did very well in the box office.
- Enforced Method Acting:
- Sandra Bullock says that she, Channing Tatum, and Brad Pitt weren't told how big the explosion would be for the scene where the two men carry her in a wheelbarrow and that her awkward expression is due to genuine surprise.
- Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum met each other for the first time only the day before they shot the leech scene. The flustered and nervous comedy came about because the two barely knew each other and Bullock had to kneel in front of Tatum while he was wearing nothing but a modesty pouch.
- Friendship on the Set: Brad Pitt got along with Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum so well that he asked them to appear in Bullet Train so they could get a few more days to hang out on set.
- What Could Have Been: The film was originally titled The Lost City of D.
