• Acting for Two:
  • Arion "MiiToons" Rashad, the lead of the project, voices Dr. Eggman, Orbot, Naugus, Sleet, Dingo, Dark Oak, Boom!Shadow, Fleetway Super Sonic, Old Man Owl and Sonic Prime himself. In the 2020 Q&A he temporarily voiced Coconuts in place of Sumrguy.
  • TrevZed voices Cubot, Infinite and Shadow Prime.
  • Max "LandyRS" Henderson voices Scourge and Sonic.exe.
  • SarahtheCatlove voices Tekno, Amy and Cream.
  • HypeVoiceActing voices Knuckles (both the regular and Boom versions), Big, Espio and Snively.
• Fake Brit: Fleetway!Sonic's voice actor, Logan "Logermeister" Jones, is actually Australian despite giving this version of him a British accent.
• In Memoriam:
  • The film is dedicated to late musician and rapper Steven "TheByMyself" Neville, who had composed the main theme, "Villains", before his passing.
  • "A Rockstar Encore, in memory of Ben Hurst and Pat Allee."
• Outdated by Canon: The "two worlds" of Sonic (one with humans, one with anthropomorphic animals) described by several SEGA employees was interpreted here as the series taking place on the two separate planets of Earth and the nearby "Animal World". However, this was debunked in 2022 as it simply meaning two separate societies (where the "human world" existed on larger continents and the "non-human world" on smaller islands).
• Playing Against Type: Tia Ballard, known for voicing plenty of sweet Token Mini-Moe characters, plays a subversion of such with the Cute and Psycho Rosy the Rascal.
• Throw It In!: MiiToons admitted during a commentary over the Q&A session that the ending where Sonic.exe and Fleetway Super Sonic kill everyone was added because he couldn't think of anything else that was satisfying.
• What Could Have Been: MiiToons said that he wanted to include Nazo but didn’t talk to the creator of the series because he thought they wouldn’t be up for it.
