Trivia / Skunk Fu!

Go To

  • Acting for Two: Almost all the voice actors did multiple roles due to the show having a small cast. The only character with a unique VA is Fox. Jules de Jongh voices Skunk, Duck and Crane.
  • Cross-Dressing Voices: Skunk, despite being a boy, was actually voiced by Jules de Jongh. Which is a CMOF in the episode where he is teamed-up with Fox, Crane, and Ms. Duck wielding fans. Rabbit says Skunk acts like a girl using the fans, and even sounds like one.
  • Fake Brit: Jules de Jongh voices Ms. Duck with a British Accent, but she is American in real life.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: There are three DVDs out there, but they don't comprise the whole series. And the entire show was on Netflix until it was removed.
  • Parody Commercial: Adverted with an ad to promote the Chinese airing of the show in which Skunk parodies the poster of Kung Fu Panda.
  • Screwed by the Network: Ever so much. The show was first on the WB's Saturday block, but after it shut down, it was transferred to Cartoon Network, which shown all the episodes. But then after its first season, the show wasn't picked up by any network after that. As a result, the show was basically canned.
  • What Could Have Been: There was a film planned called Exit the Dragon, which was intended to be the 'second season' or such and was even promoted on Cartoon Saloon's website. Unfortunately due to the events of the show's first season, the film is either in Development Hell or just canceled.
  • The full version of the original theme song (performed by Ghostface Killah and Shawn Wiggs) can be found on the Cartoon Saloon YouTube channel.
