Trivia / Roll Over and Die

  • Approval of God: When a PV was made in May 2021 to advertise the second volume of the manga adaptation, featuring Fairouz Ai as the voice of Flum Apricot, Kiki tweeted how much he liked it. He even pinned the tweet of the manga promotion to the top of his Twitter account from May 28, 2021 until November 28, 2021.
  • Completely Different Title: The localized version of the title is still long and more or less conveys the point of the original title, but with a significantly fewer number of words. Justified given that the title was already long, and making it longer would most likely make it harder to market the series.
  • Creator's Favorite:
    • Based on the fact he made Milkit his Twitter avatar, it appears to be the case.
    • Out of all the characters who didn’t get illustrations, he shows a great fondness of Y’lla’s manga design.
  • Creator's Pest: Based on the author notes for Light Novel Volume 03, Kiki really dislikes Dein.
  • Doing It for the Art: The author stated he didn't expect this series to become financially successful due to the mixture of different Genres, such as Yuri, Adventure, and Dark Fantasy. He did it because it appealed to him, and he put his all into creating the series.
  • Schedule Slip:
    • The first four volumes of the Light Novel were released at intervals of five to seven months. Volume Four was released January 30, 2020. As of this writing, there have been no indications when the presumptive fifth volume should be released. On July 22, 2021, he briefly mentioned his wish to release Volume 05, but he offered no other details. On November 26th, 2021, Kiki finally announced that Volume 05 was being worked on, and would apparently be released during 2022. During Fall 2022, Kiki then stated the novel was delayed until an unspecified 2023 release, but as of August 2023, there have been no more updates beyond him occasionally promoting the manga.
    • During the serialization of the earlier chapters for the manga adaptation, the series was sporadically updated. The manga began serialization during December 2018, and there wasn't enough material to release the first volume until January 30, 2020 which only had the first four chapters along with a special Light Novel style side story prequel to the series. The second volume did not have enough material until May 28, 2021. This matter seems to have settled down during the production of chapters for the second volume. The manga started getting updated monthly with half chapter updates, and this trend has continued until Chapter 12 when it was released as a full chapter. Afterwards, the manga seems to alternate between half chapter and full chapter releases.
  • Self-Adaptation: The author notes of Light Novel Volume 03 confirmed that Kiki takes an active role in the story for the manga adaptation. While Sunao Minakata draws the manga, Kinta, the illustrator of the Light Novels, provided the character designs for the manga adaptation.
  • Series Hiatus: While the manga has received monthly updates, the light novel hasn’t received an update since January 2020 until Kiki made a series of Tweets regarding the status of future installments on November 26th, 2021. According to Kiki, the hiatus will end in 2022, but he would later recant that statement, and state the next novel would be released in 2023.
