- Creator Backlash: How director Masato Kato came to see the game since, in his mind, the game was supposed to be just a fun side project he made as a way to cool off following the unhealthy development of Chrono Trigger and it's one of the reasons it was relegated to an Alternate Universe side story and why he directed Chrono Cross to tie loose ends. Ironically, the Updated Re-release will include both, after over two decades later.
- Fan Translation: Demiforce did one from Japanese to English, which later got worked from English to French and German by others. The patch makes a few
changes, notably making the game slightly harder. - Keep Circulating the Tapes: Subverted: While circulating the ROM was a necessity for a game that was only released for an obscure Japanese add-on, the game is now set to release in English included in a HD remaster of Chrono Cross in 2022 on the Nintendo Switch.
- Late Export for You: The game was first broadcast on Satellaview in 1996. The west is only officially seeing it for the first time in 2022. That's 26 years of being stuck in Japan.
