Trivia / Power Stone

  • Banned in China: The Power Stone anime was cut from television by the Brazilian government in the middle of its broadcast in 2001, claiming "inappropriate violent cartoon for the time to broadcast it".
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: With the games having basically died with the Dreamcast (as detailed below) and only getting one re-release, any version of the game is going to fetch quite a pretty penny. The PSP version will usually go cheaper than either one, but that comes at the cost of being unable to easily play them in multiplayer mode. The Dreamcast versions go for insane amounts, the first game fetching upwards of $70 for just the game with no manual and the 2nd game going for over a hundred dollars.
  • The Other Darrin: The voice actors for the anime and the games are completely different, except for Wataru Takagi, who reprised his role as Jack in the Japanese version of the anime.
  • Screwed by the Network: While Power Stone might be one of the few Capcom games not to suffer from Capcom Sequel Stagnation, this sadly means that they pretty much completely abandoned the series after second game. Aside from a port for the PSP, Capcom has shown no interest in ever revisiting this franchise. They even rarely represent it in their crossover games.
