  • Meme Acknowledgment: In the Tomb Raider level pack, at the start of the first map, Winston Smith the butler regrets that he cannot make the player a drink owing to being temporarily stuck somewhere. By the end of the level Lara's returned and directly confirms that she locked him in the freezer, as a reference to an action frequently taken during the training level of Tomb Raider II.
  • Sleeper Hit: Despite being a very niche product, PWS shot to the top of the Steam charts the moment it left Early Access, surprising a great many people including numerous gaming magazines and, apparently, the devs themselves. It continues to enjoy overwhelmingly positive reception and strong sales since.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • The Helter Skelter level would have involved a clown on the entrance, but it was removed as its creepy appearance (which was found to be a source of Nightmare Fuel, especially for players with coulrophobia, the fear of clowns) did not mesh with the game's intended purpose of being a chill, relaxing experience.
    • In a prototype demo version of the game, you could damage windows if you attempt to clean them using any nozzle other than the weakest one, at which point you had to repair them with a separate keypress. This mechanic was cut from the Early Access versions and final game, and any washer can safely clean glass surfaces without risking damaging them.
