• Throw It In!: While working on the story, the author realized that pretty much the entire starting team except for Ricky bore striking character similarities to the Rangers of the same colors in Power Rangers Lost Galaxy. This resulted in her deciding to have Damon Henderson, Lost Galaxy's Green Ranger, be Ola's uncle.
• Meaningful Release Date: "One Step Ahead" was published on August 28th, 2020 — National Power Rangers Day. This was not the intention, as the author's note calls it "convenient".
  • "Gasp for Air" was published on March 6th, 2021, the eve of both the author's 25th birthday and of the 12th anniversary of the official RPM's premiere.
• Reality Subtext: "Radio Jam" deliberately includes some commentary on the pop music scene of 2009, as it was in that year that the likes of Katy Perry and Lady Gaga became Household Names.
