  • Out of Order: The show's first Halloween Episode was promoted as the fifth episode, yet was uploaded on October 31, 2012, a week after the first episode ("Strange Delivery") had been uploaded.
  • Schedule Slip: The series has suffered a rather convoluted history regarding its premiere schedule, especially its unannounced hiatuses:
    • The first episode, plus the Halloween special, were uploaded on Wednesdays, yet starting from "Bath Time", the schedule moved to one episode every Thursday until the end of the season on the final Thursday of 2012.
    • The first two episodes of the second season, "Time Travel" and "The Middle Ages", were uploaded on Wednesday, April 17, 2013. However, "The Renaissance" would premiere on the Saturday two weeks later, with this trend continuing for the following three episodes until "The Stone Age" was released on June 28, 2013 which was a Friday. The series then entered a month-long hiatus until "The Disco Era" was uploaded on August 8, 2013 - a Thursday. Another hiatus, this time four months long, lasted until the premiere of "The Wild West" and the season finale on December 11, 2013, returning to Wednesday.
    • The "Unexpected Adventure" arc which spanned the third season, started on a Friday, just two days after the end of the second season, followed by the release of the episode "Forest" that seemed to return the series to its Thursday slot... until the episode "Sandy Dam" was uploaded on the Tuesday that was Christmas Eve. "Junkyard" was released on the first Sunday of January 2014, while the next episode, "City Park", premiered three Saturdays later. After this, it took ten months for the season's last three episodes to premiere, meaning the season with the least number of episodes also became the one with the lengthiest premiere schedule.
    • Throughout 2015, no new episodes premiered at all, and it took until the release of Cut the Rope: Magic for the fourth season to premiere.
    • For the most part, this was subverted commencing with season 4 in April 2016, which maintained a consistent, but still unsteady schedule, with new episodes being uploaded every two weeks until July that year. The fifth season (Around the World) started just one month afterwards and spent the last half of 2016 uploading a new episode every other Friday, with the exception of a Christmas Episode on Tuesday, December 20.
    • Completely averted since 2017 with seasons 6 (Video Blog) and 7 (Dream Job) following the fifth season's premiere scheme. Starting from the 17th episode of the Super-Noms arc in September 2018, the series now updates weekly and is a major factor in bringing the number of episodes to 155 across sixteen seasons as of June 2020. With a new educational series named Learn English with Om Nom now supplementing Om Nom Stories, Cut the Rope's extended franchise has no chance of stopping.
  • Screwed by the Network: There was a time in 2014 where Om Nom Stories aired on British network CITV. The problem was 1) there were only one-two reruns every day, and they were usually before 6pm, when the channel stops airing; 2) it was clear that the episodes were ripped straight from YouTube with the only edit made being the next episode reveal cut out; 3) the highest quality of the episodes at the time were 720p and it was displayed as minimised on a 1080p TV; and 4) it didn't have any mention anywhere else in CITV's archives, not even channel bumpers. No wonder why it was removed by the end of that year...
    • As of 2017, the show is back on the channel... but only on weekdays at 10:25am, when kids are still in school.
