• Germans Love David Hasselhoff: While they are famous in Europe and in their native Australia, the bulk of their fanbase is in the US and Canada.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: The band's two crowd-funded EPs were produced in one-time-only editions of 300 copies each. Obviously, for people who missed out or were unable to afford the EPs (one of them was AU$95 and one was AU$55), piracy is the only way to hear them.
• Role-Ending Misdemeanor: Brendan "Cygnus" Brown was ousted from the band when allegations of him being abusive to his ex partners came out (as well as already bad blood with him). To Brendan's credit, he admitted his faults and explaining his behavior came from heavy trauma from his mother. He nevertheless took responsibility and is getting the help he needs.
• Saved from Development Hell: The reason there are five years between The Aurora Veil and Portal of I is because of the protracted legal battle the band had to wage in order to get guitarist Benjamin Baret, who is French, a visa. Obviously, they succeeded eventually.
