  • Author Existence Failure: As noted on the main page, Nye is still producing novels in the series following Asprin's death.
  • Creator Breakdown: The Asprin novels suffered an eight-year hiatus, mostly because a prolonged dispute with the IRS meant that Robert wouldn't have seen a dime of the profits if he had written any new ones during that period. Also, Asprin started the series in the first place to offset how his work on the bitterly-dystopian The Cold Cash War was making him depressed and paranoid, so he needed some lighthearted comedy for contrast.
