• Invisible Advertising: Content Leak aside, the actual special had less than 10 days of advertising as opposed to the usual 1-2 months of other EQG content.
• Recycled Script:
  • The basic premise of the special as it pertains to Vignette is very similar to the previous "Mirror Magic" special, with their introductory scenes in particular being identical. An everyday object becomes enchanted with Equestrian magic, someone realizes this and starts using that magic to improve things they dislike, then moves on to getting rid of people they dislike by sucking them into said object and banishing them somewhere else.
  • The special also has a lot of parallels to "A Canterlot Wedding". The group is recruited to help a new friend provide entertainment and planning for an upcoming event, but one of them isn't taken with the new friend and suspect she's up to something. Sure enough, this new friend turns out to a villain, but no one believes the lone heroine when she tries to tell the rest of the group. The villain feigns innocence against the accusations.
• Working Title: According to the leaks, this special was originally titled "Me, My Selfie, and I".
