• Production Posse: Dee Rees and Rob Morgan team up again after Rees' Pariah. Rob Morgan himself is a familiar face in Netflix productions, having earned roles in all the pre-2019 Marvel shows, Stranger Things and Godless.
• Playing Against Type:
  • Rob Morgan is known best to audiences as the entertainingly vile Turk Barrett on the Marvel shows, but here he plays a noble, determined and put-upon family patriarch.
  • Johnathan Banks is a villain on Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, but he has many sympathetic qualities and his colorful nature made him a breakout character. Most of his movie roles are similar characters. But in this movie he is a despicable racist old man who berates his own war traumatized son and mutilates a war hero. His murder is very satisfying.
