Trivia / Link! Like! Love Live!

Go To

  • Actor-Inspired Element: Because the drawings and doodles on the clubroom whiteboard (seen during group streams) are done by the actresses themselves, Kozue ends up sharing Nina Hanamiya's...unique art style.
  • Cast the Runner-Up: Nozomi Nirei, Nina Hanamiya and Kona Tsukine previously auditioned for Liella! before receiving their roles as Kaho, Kozue and Megumi respectively in Link! Like! Love Live!.
  • Colbert Bump: Hasunosora's appearance at Ijigen Fes massively boosted awareness for Link! Like! Love Live! for fans of the rest of the franchise (and The Idolmaster fans), to the point where the app experienced a huge revenue spike almost immediately after the concert and Cerise Bouquet's "Holiday∞Holiday" topped Spotify trending charts in Japan for multiple weeks.
  • Demand Overload: It's been well documented by fans that Hasunosora merch during cross generation live concert events such as THE IDOLM@STER x Love Live! Ijigen Fes and Love Live! Series Presents: Unit Koshien sold out quickly compared to the other groups. In the latter's case, Hasunosora specific merchandise such as can badge pins and acrylic stands went for significantly higher prices on the resale market when contrasted with the other groups merch.
  • Invisible Advertising: Unlike the other units, Link! Like! Love Live! uses completely separate socials for marketing from the core Love Live! channels, including both separate Twitter and YouTube channels. They rarely advertise out of their specific channels as well, meaning that hearing about the app or Hasunosora at all is difficult unless you are specifically looking for it.
  • No Export for You: The game is currently exclusive to Japan and has no news of an overseas release. This makes it one of the most difficult avenues of the Love Live! franchise for overseas fans to get into besides School Idol Musical, as the lion's share of the focus goes towards Aqours, Nijigasaki and Liella! and most content made for Hasunosora caters exclusively to Japanese fans. This is particularly egregious since unlike School Idol Musical, Hasunosora is considered a main unit, meaning many fans will be lost on important context about their existence.
  • Official Fan-Submitted Content: The name of the app itself, Link! Like! Love Live!, was decided through fan suggestions following the teaser video announcing the project in October 2022.
    • The project's fans' nickname and the catchphrases for each sub-unit came from audience suggestions as well. During their first live event, the actresses looked through the submissions and narrowed them down to a few they liked, which were then voted on by the players through the app.
  • Promoted Fangirl: Par for the course by this point for the franchise. From the very first introduction stream, Nina Hanamiya had made a point that she's the same height as one of her favorites, Eli Ayase, and the others have mentioned their love for the franchise and characters in other events, especially ones where they meet actresses from preceding series. Several of the cast had also auditioned for Love Live! Superstar!! before landing their current roles.
