Trivia / Lady of the Lake (Sapkowski)

• Author's Saving Throw: Word of God from Sapkowski is that Geralt and Yennifer survived the ending where they were apparently killed in Rivia.
• Torch the Franchise and Run: According to Word of God, the writer intentionally killed most of the characters and doomed the entire setting with The Plague simply because he was sick and tired with the Witcherverse and especially its fandom. He also wanted to make sure nobody would be able to pick up even without him, so even Geralt and Yennefer bite it in the end. The Gainax Ending was vague enough to still produce three video games, picking almost directly where the saga ended, but a lot of Crapsack World that exists in said games is the fallout of how the saga ended.
