- All-Star Cast: The main cast of the series and a great part of the guest actors are compiled with actors that are considered among the very best of Flanders, with names as Jan Decleir having even international fame.
- The Cast Showoff: Michaël Pas has expierience in gymnastics, which he was frequently able to demonstrate as Kulderzipken.
- The Other Darrin: In the second season, one of the Grimm Brothers is replaced by another actor. The previous actor was unavailable because he was shooting another show in Congo. They did try to make the replacement somewhat different by giving him another hair color and a distinctive obsession with flying.
- Real-Life Relative: King Jozef and his sister Saint-Lutgardis are played by real-life siblings Jan and Reinhilde Decleir.
- You Look Familiar: Some guest actors played two or more roles over the course of the series:
- Bart Peeters appears in three episodes as three different characters: the potsenschouwspelgoochelzanggrapjas, the grandmother of the devil and the emperor of Alsdanië.
- Danny Timmermans played the invisible emperor in the first series and the wooden man in the second series, but he's unrecognizable in either of both roles.
- Pieter Embrechts appeared in one episode as Rudolf the horse and in another one as an inhabitant of Alsdanië.
