• Poor Man's Substitute: Due to budgetary issues, (as there's a limit to how many actors they can use per episode) Hawkgirl's voice actress Maria Canals Barrera voiced Livewire instead of Lori Petty, while Corey Burton pulled triple duty and served as a stand in for Malcolm McDowell as Metallo and Bud Cort as Toyman. Both Cort and McDowell later reprised their roles in Justice League Unlimited.
• Role Reprise: Brad Garrett reprises his role of Lobo from STAS. Efrem Zimbalist Jr.. likewise reprises his role as Alfred Pennyworth from previous DCAU shows.
• What Could Have Been: Originally, the hero recruited to take Superman's place on the League was going to be Captain Marvel, but legal issues prevented this, and Lobo was chosen instead due to Rule of Funny.
