• Follow the Leader: After World Masterpiece Theater popularized adapting Western Literature into anime with hits like Princess Sarah, more and more anime studios followed suit.
  • Interestingly, Himitsu No Hanazono and Princess Sarah are based on novels by the same author, Frances Hodgson Burnett.
