• The Other Darrin:
  • AJ LoCascio takes over from Howie Mandel as Gizmo.
  • The Latin American Spanish dub, in stark contrast with the dubs from the films, was done in Argentina rather than Mexico.
• Release Date Change: The cartoon was originally set to premiere on Max and Cartoon Network sometime in 2022, but it was pushed back to May 23, 2023 for reasons unknown (probably to serve as a launch vehicle to Max considering the date).
• Renewed Before Premiere: The series was greenlit for a second season about two years before it premiered.
• Saved from Development Hell: The show was first announced to be in development back in 2019. After years of radio silence (not helped by the COVID-19 Pandemic going on around that same time), it was announced that it had finally been scheduled for a 2022 premiere, only to then get pushed back to May 23, 2023.
• Sequel Gap: It's the first prominent piece of Gremlins media since 1990's Gremlins 2: The New Batch and it is a prequel to the films.
