• Follow the Leader: Borrows from The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms even more liberally than its Toho brethren, complete with an atomic explosion in the Arctic as its Inciting Incident and a pivotal early scene at a lighthouse.
• The Foreign Subtitle:
  • Germany: Gamera: Frankenstein's Monster from the Ice
  • Greece: Gamera, the King of Tokyo
• Keep Circulating the Tapes:
  • Both the American theatrical release and the Sandy Frank version haven’t been re-released on official DVD & Blu-ray releases.^note  the American cut, known as Gammera the Invincible, was released on DVD by Alpha Video, though these releases were unlicensed and were sourced from pan and scan VHS tapes Even when Shout! Factory got the rights to release the Gamera films on DVD they were unsuccessful in licensing the the original American cut as the company refused to let it be licensed and released again until 2020 when Arrow Video announced it would be included on their box set.
  • An incomplete 35mm print of the American cut was discovered, digitally restored and made available for purchase on Amazon Prime in 2017 by Legend Films, Inc.
  • The International dubbed version, however, has yet to get an official release outside the Mystery Science Theater version.
