• Creator Backlash: His stint on Last Comic Standing, which ended with him kicked off the show for secretly using a Blackberry to keep in touch with a loved one. (The producers believed he was actually sending out spoilers.)
• Money, Dear Boy:
  • In his comedy special in Hawaii, Gabriel mentioned that when he signed on to do a show in Singapore, he was unaware that English is actually the dominant language there. When asked why he would agree to do a show when he didn't even know if they spoke English, he replies, "Because the check was fat. And I'm a little whore."
  • Deliberately invoked when Gabe received the invitation to perform in Saudi Arabia. To ensure the offer was legit, he told his agent to ask for "a ridiculous amount of money, and it has to be transferred today". A short while later:
    Agent: Hey Gabe, Ridiculous just called back.
• What Could Have Been: In Stadium Fluffy, he said that he was close to actually hosting the Oscars, and they were willing to let him because they were desperate for someone to take the role, given that Kevin Hart turned them down for refusing to apologize to something he did 10 years ago, that he has since apologized already. Gabriel also states that the possible reason he was turned down was because his opening joke might have rubbed the committee the wrong way.
