Trivia / Four Weddings

Go To

  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Linsie from season 9 said that she got along well with the guest brides, but was taken aback by their comments when she actually watched the episode.
  • California Doubling: Completely averted. Every episode was filmed on location in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Illinois, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, Texas, Arizona, California, and Washington.
  • Executive Meddling: The winning bride and groom could only go on their honeymoon after their episode aired on TV. If, for whatever reason, the episode was pulled from being aired, they wouldn't get their honeymoon.
  • Reality Is Unrealistic: Surprisingly averted. There was very little staging of things in the show, no manipulating the brides into being catty with each other. Some scenes did have to be shot multiple times, more for aesthetics rather than drama.
  • Seasonal Rot: The show's retooling for season 10 essentially doomed the show. The cattiness was gone, the episodes were too long and focused less on the actual weddings. The show ended after season 10.
  • Short Screentime for Reality: Shauna in season 5 said she didn't get as much screentime as the other brides in her episode. Generally speaking, the wedding with the most screentime ends up winning.
  • Very False Advertising: TLC does gift the winning couple a honeymoon, but the honeymoon was not always 100% free. Linsie, who won her episode in season 9, and her husband were given $5,000, which did not cover everything on their honeymoon, including airfare.
