• Actor Allusion: While in Samantha's RV, Derek wonders about the unsubtle decorations about getting a baby similarly to his actor Greg Sestero's previous character Mark in The Room (2003), who was equally confused about unsubtle attempts of being seduced.
• Approval of God: Larry King was very enthusiastic about his cameo, which was arranged during his interview with the 5SF crew, particularly the prospect of being killed off as he had never experienced it before in his filmography.
• Colbert Bump: The movie getting its own Kill Count episode hosted by Dead Meat editor Zoran Gvojic introduced the movie to a far wider audience than it otherwise would've gotten.^{Fun fact!} This movie unseated the previous holder of the "Kill Count Champion" title, Zombieland: Double Tap, by a significant margin — Zombieland at 376 losing to DBPM3 at 4295 (courtesy of Dead Meat founder James A. Janisse conceding that the flooding scene and its estimated 4000 deaths technically qualified under the channel's rules for Counted Kills). In October 2023, however, DBPM3's record was utterly annihilated by Emesis Blue with a mind-boggling estimated 800,054 deaths.
