- Deleted Scene: A scene where the Queen of the Skithra briefly stops Dorothy Skeritt's heart was filmed, but cut.
- Dueling Works: Not exactly, but in a completely uncanny coincidence, the episode of Canadian period detective series Murdoch Mysteries from earlier in the week also happened to feature a story that involved Thomas Edison jealous as the villain of the Mystery of the Week kidnaps Nikola Tesla (among other great scientists) from a conference.
- Fake American: Brit Robert Glenister as Thomas Edison and Canadian Haley McGee as Tesla's secretary, Dorothy Skeritt. It's most noticeable when Edison pronounces "patent" the British way.
- Fake Nationality: Serbian-born Nikola Teslanote is played by Croatian actor Goran Višnjić.
- You Look Familiar:
- Thomas Edison is played by Robert Glenister, who also played Salateen in "The Caves of Androzani".
- Anjli Mohindra plays the Queen of the Skithra, after having played Rani for the majority of The Sarah Jane Adventures. Although, given the heavy makeup placed on her for this role, it's completely understandable if fans didn't recognize her at first. (At the very least, Bradley Walsh didn't, despite having played the villain in Mohindra's SJA debut story.)
