  • Approval of God:
    • He seems to like Coyotemation's Source Filmmaker videos, and can be found on at least one of the videos comments. Although said videos have now been deleted after Cry's Role-Ending Misdemeanor. With Coyotemation's rebranding themselves as JazVega to further distance themselves from their past.
    • He also approves of the Crynime that is currently being produced by Project Crynime. He provides the voice of his animated self in the production according to a post on the group's tumblr. Although said project was cancelled.
  • Creator Breakdown: In his "Cry Talks: Ayyyyyyy" video, Cry reveals to have been dealing with various family issues that took a toll on him, resulting in less regular activity on his YouTube channel.
  • Enforced Method Acting: During the scene in Corpse Party where Naomi dreams about Seiko after her death, Cry sounds as though he's in tears while reading the dialogue, and pauses to wipe his eyes afterward. It's one of the only times he doesn't read out all of the written sounds in the text.
  • Fan Community Nicknames: Many have jokingly called themselves "Cry-babies" which Cry can't stand. Others want to give each other "cry-fives", inspired by PewDiePie's infamous bro-fists. Cry claims that he doesn't want to have a fandom, and he has referred to them as his "frienddom" several times.
  • He Also Did: Has dabbled in voice-acting in a few video games, like Downfall (2009) and before he was removed Monster Prom.
  • Role-Ending Misdemeanor: He was removed from the Late Night Crew in 2020 after it came to light that he had cheated on his then-girlfriend via online relations with minors. His role in Monster Prom as Oz and Liam was also announced to be recast following the allegations and ultimately his Twitch channel was permanently banned on Sept 10, 2020.
