• Banned in China: According to Alyson Hannigan, there were two versions of the murder-discovery scene. One was a tame version which appeared on the screen. The other had blood all over the walls, which the crew thought they might be able to get away with in Europe. Nope.
• Completely Different Title:
  • Armenian: "Առաքելության աղջիկը" (Mission Girl)
  • Finnish: "Ennustus" (Prediction)
  • French: "Le Manuscrit" (The Manuscript)
  • German: "Das Ende der Welt" (The End of the World)
  • Hungarian: "Végső összecsapás" (Final Clash)
  • Italian: "La Profezia" (The Prophecy)
• Creator's Favorite Episode: Joss Whedon named this as one of his favourite episodes.
• Throw It In!: At the end of the episode, when the gang are walking away, Angel says "I like your...", and Buffy quips back "yeah, yeah. It was a big hit with everyone". This was added in post production and wasn't in the script.
• What Could Have Been:
  • Originally, another sign of the impending apocalypse was going to be stones raining down on Sunnydale High. It was cut out due to budget costs.
  • Joss Whedon wanted to have 90 vampires converge on the school but had to scale it down due to budget restrictions.
