Trivia / Brutalmoose

Go To

  • Approval of God: Ian gave his blessing and support for Televoid! Out of the Loop when he discovered it.
  • Colbert Bump:
    • Ian does this numerous times, thanks to his covering of deliberately obscure subjects. Games such as Space Dude, Space Kids, Animal, and Psychic Detective all owe at least some of their recognition to Ian's affinity for weird games.
    • He also helped bring Gerbert out of the pits of obscurity, and in the case of Dream Bunny, may very well have been the only person to document the series.
  • Creator Backlash: He admits his early videos haven’t aged well and is not a fan of the crasser humor he used in them.
  • Defictionalization: Sort of. In the A Hat in Time prototype video, he gives his "audition" for voice acting at one point, then shows a "resume" that points to brutalmoose.com/voiceacting. He actually went so far to make that a real page, though it's nothing more than him pointing out that it was just a joke.
  • Screwed by the Lawyers: Why he won't be reviewing the Killjoy sequels. However, he is fairly sure this is not the case and the messages he received from the lawyers were from a troll, but he's not going to risk it in case they were real.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • A video on Firefighters 2014 was in the works before being scrapped.
    • He was originally going to do an entire video of "sexy" MMORPGs, but felt that the first one he tried, Sociolotron, was so weird that he decided it deserved its own review.
    • At some point a proper Grand Finale to Televoid! was planned but Ian noted on one of his streams that it took too long to create with him eventually losing interest in making it. The only remnant of it is an original song written by Ian called "Gone" possibly intended for the final episode.
