  • In Memoriam: Actually, shortly before he died, on July 30, 1999, there was an event called Curtis Comes Home, which featured wrestlers from WWE, WCW, ECW, and some independents, which was held at the Ice Garden in Rostraver, PA.
    • Mark Curtis Memorial Reunion was held on May 7, 2005 at Freedom Hall in Johnson City, TN, and featured in the main event Mick Foley and Shane Douglas (w/Dominic DeNucci) defeating Al Snow and D'Lo Brown (w/Les Thatcher) for the vacant Tri-Cities Tag Team Titles.
  • What Could Have Been: Testimonials by those who knew him, and footage from the SMW/USWA feud era, show he was an incredibly talented wrestler who could work any style, from high-flying to submission grappling. But because of his small stature, he had basically been left out in the cold since he came up in the 1980s, when American pro wrestling was fixated on large, muscular guys.
