- With Monkey Man, both released at the same month. Both action films involve a nameless man who turns into a vengeful fighter after he loses his parents in a dystopian area and also stars Sharlto Copley.
- Also with The Crow (2024), another stylized action film centered on Revenge and that stars Bill Skarsgård in the lead role. However, whereas The Crow is a serious, darkly-toned action movie based on an actual comic book series, Boy Kills World is a tongue-in-cheek, original action movie with copious amounts of Black Comedy and graphic novel influences.
- Fake Nationality: Michelle Dockery (British), Sharlto Copley (South African) and Famke Janssen (Dutch) all affect American accents as the evil Van Der Koys but as the film was shot in South Africa, is set in an unidentified dystopian city-state and the family has a Dutch surname, it's anyone's guess as to what real-world nationality they're actually supposed to be, if any.
- Underage Casting: Boy is supposed to be several years older than June 27 his younger sister, but Bill Skarsgård is actually three years younger than Jessica Rothe.
