• Banned Episode: The episode "Dragon Breath" was once removed from CBeebies due to the inaccurate way Flop treats Bing's tongue burn.
• Celebrity Voice Actor: Flop was voiced by British actor Mark Rylance in the first season of the show.
• Live on Stage!: The show had multiple live shows, including one at Cbeebies Land with costume characters, a touring play using Bunraku technology, and another low-budget one touring internationally.

• Write What You Know: Ted Dewan created Bing after he first had his daughter and noticed that the majority of books focusing on children were "overly sugarized" and lacked the realistic, hectic nature of real-life toddlers.
