• Bad Export for You: The non-Japanese arcade versions lack the "extend every 1 million points" option, which is required in most scoring competitions and forum threads. Fortunately, Rev.2016 puts this setting back in for players outside of Japan.
• Late Export for You: The M2STG ports took a year to leave Japan.
• Milestone Celebration: The PS4 port was released in 2016, 20 years after the original release.
• No Export for You: The Saturn port is Japan-only.
• Referenced by...: Assault Shell's stage 4 boss, The Reaper, is inspired by Black Heart, featuring six smaller drones to precede the fight, a rapid spread stream attack, and an attack where it plunges to the bottom of the screen before launching back up with Weaponized Exhaust.
• Remade for the Export: No consumer port of the game officially existed outside of Japan until Rev.2016.
