- B-Team Sequel: Atomic Bomberman was developed by Interplay Entertainment under license from Hudson Soft.
- Colbert Bump: While Atomic Bomberman is still a Cult Classic to this day, it received considerably more attention after its soundtrack was recycled for Chaos Faction, drawing many who played the latter towards the former.
- Dummied Out: Atomic Bomberman came with modding tools, making Dummied Out portions of the game easy to find.
- Bomberman has 3 unused idle animations: eating an apple whole and tossing the apple core away, doing a Levitating Lotus Position, and taking off their head and wiping the visor clean.
- It is possible to access a Campaign Mode by inputting a command at the main menu, but it's just a set of levels with opposing bombers and placeholder enemy graphics as opponents.
- There are many additional lines by the narrators that were unused because they contain many obscenities.
- No Export for You: Released only in the Americas and Europe, skipping Bomberman's native turf of Japan.
