Trivia / Abyssal Infinitum

• Diagnosis of God: The protagonist of While We Fall is Confirmed in the fluff material to be written with severe dissociative identity disorder and Bipolar II, among other comorbid issues. Most of her illnesses are shared directly with the author herself.
• Fridge Brilliance: During While We Fall right before Twitch's first appearance, Sarah was meeting with a tailor who spoke with an Alibati accent. Alibati is the in-universe equivalent of Spanish, and in that scene there are some words Sarah uses that belong to Twitch's native Chirola, which is based on Catalan. While Catalan is more than just a blending of French and Spanish, it does make sense that a character who spoke Catalan might pick up on the similarities and be drawn out.
• Trolling Creator: At times. In their "content warning" of Before the Whims of Fate, where Ilia seemingly died the author only had this to say:

• What Could Have Been:
  • In WolfPrincessSarah's author's notes, she alludes to an earlier draft of While We Fall which involved the protagonist surviving in Mantle for several days before getting rescued. This was cut to get the plot rolling faster, but there are some seeds of this earlier draft including Sarah starting off with trail mix bars and a few other survival aids that rarely come up after the opening chapters.
  • However, this plotline was later recycled as the backstory of Scion, and returned in a downplayed form for the expanded rewrite where Sarah survives in the tundra for several hours.
  • While We Fall Was intended originally by WolfPrincessSarah to be a slow-paced sideshow for Apocalypse State of Mind, but eventually became a mainfic in its own right, with its own Ensemble Cast beyond the Self-Insert protagonist. Notably, with the cancellation of ASM but not WWF, it's seemingly been cemented as its own beast.
  • This also sort of applies to ASM itself, as the story's plot elements and characters have been excised, given a soft Reboot and put into Before the Whims of Fate.
